Eliana Ben-Dov, also known as "Bear," was born in Tucson, AZ, in 1999 and was adopted by a single mom. She was raised primarily in New York and exhibited a bit of wanderlust during travels. Bear spent her summers in Los Angeles, and developed a deep affection for the city. In 2021, Bear relocated to Los Angeles and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

During the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, Bear returned to her family home in New York City. While there, she took a mapping class and created her first oversized dollhouse, titled "31-8515." This project explored the concept of home, safety, and stability, reflecting on and exploring the global shift in perceptions of home; nurturing and identity during the upheaval of the lockdown.

Growing up, Bear had synesthesia, resulting in her brain equating colors to sounds, conversations, emotions, etc. Despite outgrowing her synesthesia, Bear remains drawn to vibrant colors, using them to convey narratives and memories within spaces. Each of her works offers a glimpse into personal experiences and memories. Her current work is engaged in the exploration of one’s relationship to, and the creation of individual narratives in lived and imagined spaces.
